2023 Apprenticeship Survey Submission
Pursuant to the State Construction - Minority and Female Building Trades Act (30 ILCS 577/Article 35), all construction apprenticeship programs in Illinois are required to annually submit information to the Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL) regarding the race, gender, ethnicity, and national origin of all apprentices participating in the program.
All construction apprenticeship programs, whether or not certified and registered with the US Department of Labor’s Office of Apprenticeship, must submit a completed form to IDOL. Reports are due by January 15, 2024. The report will be published on March 29, 2024.
Pursuant to Public Act 99-0584, penalties will be issued to programs that fail to file a report. The first offense receives a warning and 45 days to comply. After 45 days, there is a fine of $100 per day of incompliance. The second offense is a $250 per day penalty and the third is $500 per day.
If you have any general questions about the survey, please contact the Conciliation and Mediation Division at (312) 793-3600.
